Tattoo aftercare

Protect the work
while it heals.

Ci’s appointment-specific instructions always come first. Use this page as a general reminder, not a diagnosis.

Which aftercare instructions should I follow?

Follow the instructions Ci gives you at the appointment because dressing type and timing can vary. Keep those instructions handy and ask before changing products or removing a dressing early.

What is normal while a tattoo heals?

Some early tenderness, mild redness, light oozing, flaking, and itching can be part of healing. Keep hands clean, avoid picking or scratching, and follow Ci’s cleaning and moisturizing directions.

What should I avoid?

Avoid soaking the tattoo, swimming, hot tubs, saunas, direct sun, and friction while it heals. Ask Ci when you can safely return to exercise or activities that stretch, rub, or heavily sweat around the area.

When should I get medical help?

Seek medical advice for new or worsening redness, warmth, swelling, pain, pus, red streaks, fever, or other symptoms that concern you. Tattoo artists cannot diagnose or treat an infection.
